Sex and the City weddings as they were and should always have been: take not SJP, dead birds were neither invited nor used to adorn the bride.

So before there was the Carrie and Big's fashion wedding let down (take 1 AND 2). There was Charlotte's wedding triumphs 1 AND 2. Both fabulous.

We didn't think that she could trump it.... but she did. More classic. Totally different but still Charlotte. A nice idea for those brides out there who want a bit more coverage while still flashing their shoulders.

Carrie's Wedding Dress: consideration of a dead bird

So I was hoping that someone might be able to help me with this conundrum. The producers of Sex and the City saw Sarah Jessica Parker looking like this....

and the producers thought welllll that looked nice but this is the biggest moment in the Sex and the City franchise SO maybe we should scrape her hair back so the viewers can reeeeeeally see how old her face is, you know really make those wrinkles predominant. Let's bunch the veil up on top of that pineapple of hair on her head and then let's stick a dead bird on the side on a SUPER awkward angle just so everyone really takes note that it is indeed a dead bird. Is there anything else we can do OH! I got it lets make the bird blue just so it really sticks out, we don't want to risk the chance that that sucker will blend in at all. And why don't we let that bird be the only accessory, with the exception of the earrings, just so we make it even more prominent that it is indeed a dead bird... a dead BLUE bird... on her head and just so people make the observation that it's not like the bird was one of many accessories. It wasn't just a crazy Carrie moment where she was rummaging around for everything and anything she literally just went for the bird. 

Personally I think it looks horrible and I take great offense to the fact that whoever was responsible for that call not only ruined what would have made a beautiful fashion moment in the history of SATC but they also ruined a beautiful dress. If I was Vivienne Westwood I would be absolutely fuming somewhere as through poor accessorizing they turned something which could have been stunning into something that was so ghoulishly off the mark it was just sickening. 

.... I know my disdain is palpable.

 So I ❤ ❤ ❤ Charlotte's apartment. It represents class and timelessness to me (and I won't lie a certain about of waspy decorating ideals). It was quite difficult to find photos of so I apologize for the poor quality but I hope that you enjoy them.

So after my last post I decided that I would post some photos from Carrie and Big's apartment in Sex and the City the movie. 

For those of you who are looking for an amazing non rent controlled apartment in New York with an amazing closet. Here is another fabulous option for you all, albeit a slightly pricier option.

Note the FABULOUS closet complete with a lighted shoe cupboard.

This post is about Carie Bradshaw's apartment. A place that every Sex and the City ❤ will recognize from both the television show and the movie. It was a place we all came to recognize and ❤ as the setting of many of not only Carrie's but Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda's trials and tribulations.

HOWEVER this post is not only intended for ❤ers of Sex and the City but for all girls with a love of beautiful spaces. Through the television series, and the movie, viewers of Sex and the City are presented with many beautiful things which are beyond the price range of the vast majority of us. However in Carrie's apartment SJP presented us with an affordable oasis. An apartment most of us would love to live in, in a city that everyone would love to live it. It was rent controlled, economically furnished and totally livable.

Post Renovation

Still gorgeous post renovation it's just been upgraded furniture wise but it remains as an excellent example of how you can turn a 'average' apartment into a fabulous living space.
