SHUTTER ISLAND

The film marks the fourth collaboration between director Martin Scorsese and the handsome and extremely talented Leonardo DiCaprio and starts off with a ferry docking on foggy Shutter island/ Ashecliffe Hospital, America's highest security mental asylum for the criminal insane...The oustanding story line is an investigation that slowly leads audience into a slow descent into madness and a fascinating exploration of human’s mind.
Masterfully directed and portrayed, with a very Hitchockian style, and a surprising ending, Shutter Island definitely is one of the best thrillers I have seen in years!
Go see it!

THE WOLFMAN

"Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms, and the autumn moon is bright"

A foggy wood, a grim manor, a mystery...Danny Elfman at his best with a fabulous score! A good horror movie for all the werewolves fans, certainly one of the best made on the subject, the film also features some of the best werewolves transformations sequences ever created. A very entertaining moment with outstanding action sequences, even if the film could have been a little longer. (I think Aberline character could be more developed, as well as the romance between Lawrence/the wolfman and Gwen)
Fortunately, I have heard an extended cut will be released on dvd this Summer.

Mixing Prints and Patterns

What do you think about mixing different patterns? I normally stay true to the old rule of wearing only one print at a time. But seeing Olivia pairing pieces with different prints together makes me want to try it out. One of the rules is to make sure one colour repeats in several pieces of the outfit, while keeping the rest of the outfit (shoes,..) neutral. Do you think Olivia totally rocks this look or is it simply too busy?

SCREENPLAYS TREATMENTS SYNOPSES AND REVISIONS

A quick update on what I've been up to:

I'm currently working on several treatments for some upcoming screenplays projects.
my most recent scripts including "the programmer" adapted from James Willits terrifying novel need a synopsis, and I'm also revising the first draft of my DRACULA screenplay written back in 2006: DRACULA GENESIS.For the fans of the legendary vampire, I will post several pages of this screenplay on my site and on this blog in the upcoming weeks.

As you can see, I have a few busy days ahead!

Olivia has been spotted toting this Alexa bag. The Alexa Mulberry bag is named after British style icon Alexa Chung. Mulberry's creative team was inspired after seeing Alexa carrying an old Mulberry Elkington briefcase.
