MEMORIES ERASING

http://scienceblogs.com/neurophilosophy/2008/10/erasing_memories.php

An interesting article on erasing memories, which is a plot device of my science fiction screenplay "THE FACE".
For those who know me personally, you know that I've been living with terrible memories for years, and that I've been suffering a post traumatic stress disorder for months, actually, this is the time of the year when all my bad recollections are coming back, consequently...I'm pro-memories erasing, I believe that being a brand  new being would solve many problems and heal so many psychological illnesses.

Naturally, like all screenwriters, there is a part of me in most of my screenplays and all my characters.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF HORROR

Heidi Klum gives us a sneak peak at her Halloween costumes

If you guys already aren't excited enough about Halloween then check out these sneak peaks at Heidi Klum's TWO (yes two! this year she's throwing two Halloween parties, one in Las Vegas and one in New York) Halloween outfits this year. As usual the model is both beautiful and terrifying. I am particularly in love with the monkey costume. I think she will look ADORABLE and I can't wait to see the finished product.

LOVE this coat and these legs

Sandra Bullock takes style to the runway at LAX

How 'Devil Wears Prada' does Anne look?

Today has improved.... royally

Kate Middleton (or sorry the Duchess of Cambridge- I just can't get used to that!) must have heard that I was sick because she FINALLY made an appearance. Last night Kate carried out her first official solo engagement as she stood in for Prince Charles at a charity event. Prince Charles was called away to Riyadh to present condolences to the Saudi Royal Family following the death of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. The big news was that commentators suggested that Kate was wearing a strip hair weft beneath her own hair, supposedly visible on the left hand side. I'm sure she does wear extensions (particularly for the Royal Wedding) but I'm not entirely sure that what we are seeing in these photos is a hair weft.

I am not sure where the dress is from. I am semi- willing to bet Temperley but I'm not totally sold on it. I love the neckline and the color of the bead work but the actual color of the dress itself is not getting me excited. Neither is the cut of the skirt. Kate is so slim that an empire waistline seems rather unnecessary. I would have preferred no waistline and a lack of seaming on the skirt. She looks great though although I am not loving the arms and shoulders. She's looking a bit too much like a swimmer at the moment and her uber slimness is aging her. She looks more like she is in her mid 30s than in her mid 20s.

Twilight Part II Brussels Premiere

Ashley Greene looks pretty adorable, in other news does anyone else think she used the same surgeon for her rhinoplasty as Jessica Biel?

Chloe Green continues to fall below expectations... tie dye leggings?.... really?

(In the tune of Eminem's 2000 hit, 'The Real Slim Shady'...) Will the real Pippa Middleton please stand up, please stand up?!

Just to remind you all what Pippa Middleton looks like.... in case you got scared your recollection was totally wrong here she is yesterday pictured strolling through Chelsea with a friend. I have to say I am still on the Pippa love train. I'm loving this whole new fascination with scarves and that coat is just purely divine. I love the color, the cut- I want it and I think this is the first thing (bar the white crochet dress she wore to Queen's tennis this summer, which she later wore in black- or was it the other way round?) she's worn that I would buy instantly if I knew where it came from, and that goes with the scarf too. It's so nice to see her playing with proportions, rather than just going with her usual figure hugging look, to see her moving away from flats and most importantly to see her playing with color. She's still rocking the usual black but she's made it exciting.

And just found! Here we have Pippa on her way to work this morning. Again rocking a major blue accent. Have to say I give her props for mixing up the sunglasses (they are getting progressively cooler by the day) and the color but the sheer black tights NEED to be replaced by opaque ones and the blazer, for me, is too shiny for day wear. I think the look would have been saved had there been a knee length coat over it... and maybe scarf (bring back the scarf Pippa!) or maybe if the dress had been a top and there had been some kind of matching trouser/ legging. Still though I am so happy to see her mixing it up and am unwilling to see this as a negative blip on her fashion scale.

The worst Pippa Middleton look alike ever?

So on October 26th (goodness knows why I am only getting my hands on these JEMS now!) Debenham's launched a dress inspired by Pippa Middleton's Royal Weddings Bridesmaid's dress in London. For those of you who are interested the dress is limited edition and will run at £170.

Now for what I believe to be the more interesting part. Debenhams used a Pippa Middleton look alike (Jodie Bredo) to launch the dress. Now I have to say, much like the dress itself, Jodie Bredo is more 'inspired by' Pippa Middleton than a literal copy. In fact I may even go so far as to say that, other than the hair color, she looks absolutely nothing like Pippa Middleton. Glaringly obvious is the fact that she's about a stone, to a stone and a half, too large. She is about four shades too pale and she looks a bit more like Kate. I'm not saying she's not a beautiful girl, she is- I'm just saying she doesn't look like Pippa Middleton. In fact I'm thinking that if she can pass as Pippa Middleton I might as well give up my job and become a look- a- like myself. I'm thinking David Cameron, or something equally as ridiculous.

Lauren Goodger- the transformation (and not in a good way)

So lately I have been totally unclear as to Lauren Goodger's motivations re her dress sense.... other than making me feel sicker than the malaria pills are making me (have I mentioned the epic hallucinations? Last night I dreamt that I had to have my lower leg amputated due to mosquito bites and when asking the doctor why I had to have this done he asked me if I had been drinking a lot of juice, wearing perfume and if my boyfriend hated me- at which point I - still asleep at that point- asked my boyfriend aloud 'the doctor wants to know if you hate me', suffice to say he pretty much thought I'd lost it until he remembered I was on loopy pills.... anyways I digress, back to Lauren the Great.... and my great I am referring to body mass, clearly). However after looking at the stills from last night's 'The Only Way Is Essex' it has become clear. She is trying to morph herself into a larger version of Lauren Pope and it's pretty frightening. If I was Lauren Pope I would run for the hills, who knows how many episodes it will be until Lauren seeks to abate her hunger (and obsession) by actually eating Popey. Run Popey run!

Amy Childs rocks a good look and a terrible look, you decide which is which

Continuing our trend of sexy Victoria Secret Mommas... Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra Ambrosia and her SUPER adorable daughter Anja today hit the SUPER trendy pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins, play with some rabbits and then generally strut their stuff. Good times!

I think Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr just took the title away from the Beckhams for most adorable celebrity family.

They are SO hot (and unbelievably Miranda is EVEN HOTTER since popping out baby Flynn- I love the roundness she now has in her face and those killer curves,.... well I never say this but damn girl!), so stylish, so fing adorable together, with Flynn and with Miranda's loveable little Yorkshire terrier Frankie + you've got to look her AMAZING street style (loving that bag!).

I'm in envy.

Who told Katy Perry this was a good look....

I have no idea but they need to be summarily executed STAT. The hair, the leotard (THE LEOTARD! It is perhaps the most unflattering leotard ever to meet the human cornea, the cut is awful and the color is just appalling), those shoes (only eight year olds on their way to tap class should be wearing those bad boys) ad then the bod. I don't know what Katy Perry's done to herself but she's been packing on the pounds, hardcore. Frankly she looks like she's stomping towards a Kit Kat in this photo and I'm disgusting, appalled and enthralled all at once..

Minnie Driver is a Greek Goddess at the Hunky Dory premiere in London last night

I hate, hate, hate Lauren Goodnger... HATE

So I am beginning to think that Lauren Goodger is not only reading this blog but actively trying to kill me through disgust. She was out AGAIN tonight with a man and dress that shared one thing in common, they were both too small for her (shockingly I'd go so far as to say that, the man was better looking than the dress). I also don't know where the new Louboutins were.... perhaps they refused to sell them to her (fingers crossed) because she was out in these troll clogs instead. Honestly, cheaper looking than her (or her hair)- and that takes effort.

.... I especially like the third picture down where she very much appears to be in the process of taking a shit standing up. Good effort.

Australia's Next Top Model Finale

So I am totally impressed with the finale of Australia's Next Top Model Season 7. Firstly, they actual have contestants who look like they could potentially be models (something both the American and U.K. versions lack). They also held the finale at the Sydney Opera House which is fairly astounding.... particularly considering that Tyra Banks is about two seasons away from doing an all midget season and holding the finale in a KFC.

Regardless of whether any of you have watched the season, who doesn't like to gawk at beauty.

How adorable!

Kelly Rutherford and Helena Giersch, her daughter, pictured on the set of 'Gossip Girl' in New York. How friggin adorable?!?!?! I am obsessed!!!!!!!! And does Helena remind anyone else of Shiloh Jolie- Pitt?

Hot and heavy

Remaining in the vein of yesterday's editorial choice I've decided to pick another editorial which reminds me of Nigeria. So here were are with an editorial from Numero magazine titled 'Veneneuse and shot by Greg Kadel and featuring one of my FAVORITE models, Malgosia Bela. I feel like you can just feel the heat radiating off the pages and I love it!
