Ok, I admit that the title is somewhat odd in nature; however, maritime professionals around that world will have to admit that if it were not for the profoundly devastating event that took place today (actually tonight and tomorrow morning) in 1912, changes to safety at sea may have been put on the back burner. Thus I proclaim this year’s remembrance of the RMS TITANIC, the 99th anniversary of it colliding with an iceberg and eventual sinking, a celebration of safety at sea.
From the pages of history it was today, 14 April 1912, at around 11:40 p.m. that the RMS Titanic collided with an iceberg off Newfoundland while sailing on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York. She sank a little over two hours later. There were 1,517 lost including 103 women and 53 children out of total passenger and crew of 2,207. Subsequently, certification and life saving devices were improved and an International Ice Patrol was created to patrol the sea lanes off Newfoundland and Greenland during the winter months. The Revenue Cutter Service took over the operation of the Patrol the following year1.
Today our children are still reading and learning about the sinking. In fact my eight-year old daughter just read a book on the sinking and was amazed at the number of people lost. I would have to agree with here; however, as noted, it’s because of this mass-loss situation that safety at sea has become what it is today. Don’t worry though- I’m not naive enough to think it’s perfect. One only need to read a few books (e.g. Deadliest Sea) to know that the commercial fleets are all but perfect.
As you stand around the water-cooler today bring up the fact that it’s the 99th anniversary of the TITANIC sinking; do people still care? I’m betting they do- but I’m also willing to say that the only thing they’ll know of it is that it’s a movie that Leonardo DiCaprio was in… :(

James Cameron Launches New 3D Company
James Cameron Launches New 3D Company
James Cameron and cinematographer Vince Pace think there should be more 3D -- more 3D movies, more 3D television shows, more 3D consumer projects -- and have started a company to make that happen.
Cameron-Pace Group, announced at the National Association of Broadcasters meeting in Las Vegas Monday, hopes "to banish all the perceived and actual barriers to entry that are currently holding back producers, studios and networks from embracing their 3D future," Cameron said in a written statement.
Cameron and Pace are co-chairs of the new company, which aims to "step up industry-wide efforts to help filmmakers realize 3D's full potential as a creative and powerful storytelling medium and accelerate the growth of the next generation of 3D solutions across all platforms," Pace said in the statement.
The technology and production services firm already has projects, including "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," "The Three Musketeers," "Life of Pi" and others.
Before partnering with Cameron for the company, Pace ran the Pace Group, which is now formally rebranding under the new name.
Cameron's 2009 3D "Avatar" is the highest-grossing motion picture of all time, with nearly $2.8 billion.

LWD: Little White Dress
In spring we must replace our LBD with its white variant. Forget black, this dress will make you look elegant, sophisticated, chic and fresh at the same time! The LWD breaths youth, and pure innocence. Olivia brings in the glamour with nice jewelry and a pop of red or pink in the clutch or the heels. Take a look at these gorgeous dresses and tell me which one is your favorite!

The Choice - King Kong - Coca Cola Commercial - 1995
Wonderful, I remember seeing this commercial when I was a child. Loved it! Naturally. If you've been following me for months or years, you certainly remember that I knew I wanted to work in the film industry when I first saw the 1976 remake of King Kong starring Jessica Lange- I was 6 years old at this time and my parents had the video tape-no dvd at this time- More recently I wrote a biopic screenplay exploring the life of director Merian Cooper-"King Kong's Father"- called "The adventurer". Hope the script will be produced, because it's one of my favorites and reminiscent of 1930 glamour Hollywood time Jordan.
Volkswagen Commercial: The Force
I love this commercial! With a mini darth vader! The best at the moment-very original. Enjoy!

POTENTIAL UPCOMING PROJECTS
Preparing to pitch my latest science fiction screenplay "THE FACE" completed on March 16, 2011.
And thinking of my potential upcoming projects.
I've finished writing the pitch for "SECRET ISLAND", an adventure/fantasy screenplay a few weeks ago, and I'm in the "pre-writing process" taking notes, making researches, and beginning to create the central scenes of the script.
I'll also develop a two pages synopsis for a science fiction tale in the upcoming days. If I feel the story is good enough, I'll certainly write the script.
You can either be a vain movie star, or you can try to shed some light on different aspects of the human condition.
The best thing about acting is that I get to lose myself in another character and actually get paid for it. It's a great outlet. As for myself, I'm not sure who I am. It seems that I change every day.

Neutrals and Nudes
Sand, beige, camel and nudes doesn't have to be boring. Once again Olivia shows us how to wear neutral, soothing shades head to toe: layering is the secret to make this look interesting. Neutrals also are a great way to show off your accessories or a surprising bright pink lipstick... Tell me what's your favorite look!
READING
Johnny Depp quotes at the moments. We have the same opinions on a lot of matters. I wanted to share them with you.
"The only creatures that are evolved enough to convey pure love are dogs and infants. "
One of the greatest things I've ever seen happen was the morning I opened the newspaper and it said that some very powerful government officials had decided to change the name of "french fries" to "freedoom fries" and "french toast" to "freedom toast". It was impressive. I wanted to write a letter to them just to thank them, just for proving globally that they were absolute imbeciles.
With any part you play, there is a certain amount of yourself in it. There has to be, otherwise it's just not acting. It's lying.
If you turn on the television and see the horrors that are happening to people in the world right now, I think there's no better time to strive to have some kind of hope through imagination. I think it's a time to close your eyes and try to make a change, or at least hope to make a change, or we're going to explode.
