Leighton Meester pictured filming Gossip Girl today in New York wearing STELLA! Loves it!

I have been wondering how someone would work an outfit around this AMAZING print from Stella McCartney's spring/ summer 2011 collection and OF COURSE Blair shows us how it's done. Every single element of the outfit is pulled from the print, the orange handbag, the orange shoes, the yellow top and the red lips- it's just impeccable. So glad this is my first glimpse of Gossip Girl Season 5 style and is it's anything to go on I will not be let down. Also can I say loving the beachy esque waves, adorbes!

So it's been a tough month for Blake Lively

So this month has seen Blake Lively transforming art into life as she converts the small screen exploits of Serena van ver Woodsen into true life. Specifically she seems to be retelling the Season 3 story line of Serena's European tour avec bad boy du jour (Carter Baizen), in the words of Gossip Girl herself from Episode 1 of Season 3 (Reversals of Fortune)

"as for Serena van der Woodsen, you left america a star. but after your exploits in europe you’ve come back a supernova. And yet nothing explodes without a fuse. I wonder what—or who—lit yours"

Blake also appears to be drawing inspiration from the controversial publicity promos for that season. Which seem to be ringing true- for is the publication of a child's nude photos not every parents nightmare?!

However before we embark on a discussion of 'those' photographs. Let us first consider what I believe to be Blake's first run of bad luck this summer.... her Glamour cover.

So I picked the magazine up this week and my first thought was WHAT ON EARTH DID THEY DO TO HER FACE?! Honestly Blake is a STUNNING girl, let's not downplay that fact. I'm pretty sure several godesses (and I'm not talking Charlie Sheen here- this is a classical Greek ref) must have been modeled on her but let's be honest. The girl had a nose job for a reason and I don't know what they did to her face but this is not a good look. Just the whole face is a mess and it's a pity because the pictures in the editorial are beautiful but someone at Glamour deserves a spanking. Unhappily this atrocity has been looked over (and hopefully nobody has got off the hook as a result!) because a number of nude photos purportedly of Blake surfaced. Now I say purported because that's the official line HOWEVER I have seen these photos (as I'm sure many of you have) and it look suspiciously like Blake ie. if it's not Gossip Girl had better find this girl and potentially get her to replace Blake (save some money and potentially bring some sweet sweet nudity to the show). Anyways somehow these photos also seem to be distracting people from the fact that Blake has been seen ALL over Europe with Leonardo DiCaprio.

Leonardo has previously dated Gisele Bundchen (for four years) and Bar Rafaeli (again for for years... there appears to be a bit of a pattern forming) who he only 'officially' broke up with in May.... (let's recap... it's not June). So I don't know who does Blake's PR but they have managed to gloss over the fact that these two got pretty hot and heavy and dare I say serious pretty darn quickly, some might say suspiciously quickly. However, hardly any ink has been spilled (almost none to my knowledge) on the case of Leonardo and Bar's breakup or of her opinion on this duo (it has been reported that Blake and Bar were apparently on friendly terms- although what that actually means in Hollywood is anyone's guess).

Anyways for my immediate purposes what I care about is that despite the awful cover and the nude photos (which in my opinion were not ALL that bad, she wasn't doing any weird POV sh*t a la Rhianna  after all and at least she looked good- nothing worse than a creepy nude photo *cough* Vanessa Hudgens- let's not forget to the power of two!) she has been looking AWESOME all over Europe and I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to that. So here it to Blake and Leo and their sweet ass Euro trip, full of Louboutins, Chanel and sweet sweet ass (if the pictures are to be believed).

Put your hand up if this photo desperately makes you wish your hair could stretch and multiply!

This photo definitively proves that you can rock Louboutins and Chanel when your boyfriend is in jeans, trainers and a baseball hat... if you're Blake Lively.

 So fing adorable it's not even fair. Please let me be her in my dream ce soir!

 I feel like that's a crop top paired with a chiffon mini but I don't even mind.

I'm sorry I know I've put a lot of this outfit in but hello her trotting around ALL day in those heels like it ain't no thang! And I just don't know what I want more. Her hair, her legs, her life, her boyfriend or her bag!!!!! How adorable is that bag?!?!?!!!!!

Question: is her hair officially back to blonde?! In some of the photos it still looks slightly red but nowhere near as red as it did at the Met Gala, here it definitely looks blonde though. Straight up.

 Is that a cardigan or a man's dress shirt. I'm kind of hoping the latter.

 Bets on the fact that those brogues are Louboutin's?! I would care more but I'm distracted but her adorable pashmina, her HOT boyfriend, the purse that is now officially the love of her life and the simply fact that Leo is in a blue shirt. Why don't men rock blue ALL the time. They all look good in it. 

So here's my hair conundrum again. It's looking red. Did she dye it blonde between this and the more recent photos? Or is it just looking brassy? I'm going with she dyed it because those are some definite roots. Also love that she's wearing flats here. Reminds me that she's not superman.

Alright so I decided that I would share with you all some of my favorite celebrity plastic surgeries, enjoy!

Ashlee Simpson

So Ashlee openly had a nose job a few years back; however, since then it would look like she's indulged in a little bit of botox and maybe a chin reduction.

Blake Lively

So Blake Lively is stunning which should give us all some hope as it is not ALL genetics, but rather her plastic surgeon is also due some credit as he did a fabulous job on her nose. It looks natural and fresh. 

Bryce Dallas Howard

So Bryce has had a nose job which looks very natural and complements her face well. 

Courtney Cox

So Courtney is not afraid of calling on some assistance when it comes to aging gracefully. She has clearly had botox, fillers, a breast augmentation and potentially has had either a lip implant or lip fillers as well. I think she looks great though!

Demi Moore

Demi looks amazing. Not just for her age but in general for a woman of any age. I would argue that she now looks the best that she in fact EVER has. It was openly suggested that she had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on surgery (something which she denies) including botox, a rhinoplasty, fillers, veneers, liposuction, breast augmentation and body contouring.

Giselle Bundchen

Giselle has undergone a rhinoplasty and also a breast augmentation to tweak her appearance to achieve her current super model status. Nobody can deny that she looks beautiful. 

Heather Matarazzo

Heather definitely underwent a rhinoplasty and it is a definite improvement. She tweaked her appearance without losing her quirkiness or her personality. A great job by her surgeon.

HIlary Swank

So she has always been a stunning woman but she has undergone a breast augmentation (likely with the implant underneath her muscle) which has definitely made her appear more feminine. 

Holly Madison

So it never even popped into my mind that Holly had undergone a rhinoplasty. Perhaps that was because it looked natural, or because I was being naive but I think that it looks great. She has also clearly undergone a breast augmentation and potentially liposuction (although it is clear that she also has spent considerable time in the gym). Clearly the improvements have yielded great results and hopefully they have helped her obtain her goals.

Jessica Simpson

Jessica has benefitted from veneers and a rhinoplasty. The rhinoplasty looks incredibly natural and really complements her face. 

Kate Hudson

Looks AMAZING. Such an improvement and so natural. I would have never known. Two thumbs up, great family fun.

Kim Kardashian

Not going to lie. Kim Kardashian pisses me off. Mostly (although there are loads of other reasons) because there are hundreds, thousands (perhaps millions) of girls around the world who aspire to look like her and the simply fact is that her proportions, her appearance cannot be obtained purely through genetics, gym attendance or through a beauty regime but rather it was obtained through expense, intervention and surgery and when it's so glaringly obvious I wish she would simply own up to it. Yes she has admitted to using botox but that is really the tip of the iceberg and a moot point at this juncture (the more apt question, or comment, might be- who doesn't?!). I agree that celebrities often don't intend to be role models and I sympathize with the realization that there are aspects of their life that they may want to keep private. However, in the name of honesty and truth I think there are times when they should simply admit to the obvious. Particularly when others are affected by the lie. This is probably who I prefer Kourtney to Kim (... and her superior style), I love that she is up front about the fact that she has benefitted from a breast sugmentation.

Leighton Meester

Clearly visible but I never would have suspected it (the result of a job which is truly well done).  She clearly had a very subtle rhinoplasty as well as her teeth filed to even them out, although that it does not appear that she had a full set of veneers. 

Lindsay Lohan

A rhinoplasty truly well done. The tip is perfect a great but subtle change. 

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen

A very subtle job done to minimize what was once a very bulbous tip. I like that there is a slight difference between Mary Kate and Ashley's noses but they still look the same. A great job. 

Nicky Hilton

A fantastic job very well done. The tip is much improved. 

Ryan Gosling

Representing for the men and proving that they can rectify their insecurities as well (yes, that's right- it's not just women ladies!) we have Ryan Wilson and his improved shnoz. Let's not lie, we appreciate the improvement. He's a hottie. 

Scarlett Johansson

So I always suspected that Scarlett had some fakeness about her. This is probably because I just generally don't like her (and by her I mean her fashion choices, her makeup, her hair, her voice - I really, really, really, REALLY do not like her voice.... like A LOT... I feel strongly about her voice-, her tattoos, the fact that she went out with Seann Penn, the fact that she divorced Ryan Reynolds- not only hot but Canadian-, and the fact that she played Anne Bolyen - a role that, in my opinion, she totally butchered-. I always thought that her breasts were fake but I'll settle for the nose.

Blake Lively: Award Show Photos

So it's been a rainy day today in Toronto and what better to put a ray of sunshine into such a day of grey then to get a taste of my favorite bronzed blonde- Blake Lively showing us why Southern California girls just have more fun. 

I like Blake's style. I wouldn't wear what she does mostly because I don't have the benefit of the assets she does.... and by assets I mean boobs. The girl lives by the maxim 'if you got it flaunt it' and she certainly has it AND flaunts it. She almost exclusively wears Chanel, Versace and Marchesa paired with Louboutains and the dresses are either short, split or booby (and usually two of the three) 

I don't looooove this dress. I have to say I think Versace missed the mark a bit when it comes to the color and the cut. I mean I picked this photo because I thought it really show casted the bust which I thought was the nicest bit of the dress as the length was a bit of a problem. 

Such a cute skirt although I wish it had just been a tiny bit longer... as you can see from the next photo it wasn't the most flattering from certain angles....

As you can see. I get that she wanted to go short but she could have gone a BIT longer. The pictres of her walking all show her holding a purse over her lady bits which isn't the most flattering look. I also thought that it didn't hit the most flattering part of her thighs. 

 ADORE this jacket SO SO cute (although not so excited about the shoes...).

I really wish she had picked different shorts and shoes.

 Such a lovely dress, love the color and the cut but what on earth is going on with the hair?!

And it just keeps getting better. Check out the shoes. Gorgeous! Purple and blue- inspired! I wish her hair was curled though, I won't lie. I don't love the beach hair look. 

 Adore this. The hair, the shoes, the earrings, the dress- it's all PERFECTION.

 When she does accessories well, she does them well. Love the blue with this dress. Great color, great cut- Marchesa did her well.

Adore the hair but I don't adore it from the front and the shoes... again ankle straps...

 The girl loves a plunging neckline... even when it's an illusion. The hair though... THE BOMB.

 Oh my gosh I adore these shoes, I love everything, the cut is just perfect. Not too short, hits the slimmest part of the leg. The bag is cute too. I have to say I'm not generally a HUGE fan of the Mademoiselle handbags but I have to say I've only seen them in the stores and in the ads but seeing it on her, she does carry it well. 

I   ❤  ❤  ❤  this dress. The color, the cut, the embellishments, the tan, the hair, the makeup- it's all PERFECTION. 

And then just to top it off... the shoes!

 I adore this. The dress is perfection. The color. I mean I even like the sequins, it's perfection. The shoes though... don't even get me started on ankle straps.

 Love the shoes. Love the color of the dress. Love the dress.... with the exception of the sequins around the hips. The earrings and the hair though- perfect!

 I adore slim Blake. I won't lie, she's packed on some pounds lately. I find it hilarious that she's flashing her legs as well. As if we'd forgotten about them.

 ADORE this whole look ❤ ❤ ❤. The purse, the shoes, the earrings, the hair, the makeup AND the dress (yum, yum, yum Chanel, thank you Karl!). It is all PURE perfection and it is my FAVORITE of all her dresses... which is why I had to get alllll the angles.

 At the Chanel dinner. How amazing would it be to have the honor of wearing a Chanel dress AT a Chanel dinner. Hello dream life!

 I adore ADORE these earrings.

 Ah! I ❤ this skirt. In this picture you can just see how fitted AND how full it was at the same time. So flattering, so beautiful. I feel like it would be the perfect dress for a wedding rehearsal. S cute

 One of her more youthful choices. Really like it. Very cute and different for her. She's not a big fan of cute, she's more of a sexy dress lover.

Love the STYLE of the hair. Not wild about the color. Kind of on the fence about the dress. I feel like it could have been a greek goddess look... if it wasn't for the hair.
