Nip Tuck

So in honor of my bruised and bloodied face today. I thought I would pay tribute to one of my all time favorite shows- Nip/ Tuck. As well as one of my favorite actresses and possessor of a body I covet more than this season's cap toed Louboutain's... Kelly Carlson.

Here are some things I love about Kelly. Nip/ Tuck was her first real gig and she nailed it like Tiger Woods would a white girl, no lie. She has arms that I would literally die for. So toned, so lean, so mean- it's enough to make a girl cry. She splits her time between LA and Toronto which I also love and dates a hockey player whilst refusing to fall into the WAG lifestyle.

I have copied photos of the Kelly I knew and loved from Nip/ Tuck below. She was so Marilyn Monroe as I would love to have seen Marilyn. I have to attest I don't get the obsession with Marilyn. For me I see the beauty but she doesn't knock me dead. I prefer more of a dancers body and Marily has always seemed too heavy for me (don't hate me! I'm just being honest)! Kelly to me had the perfect body lithe, toned and I mean her arms alone are covet worthy not to mention her fantastic bone structure and killer abs and legs (yes I have a HUGE girl crush, I won't lie).

I suppose it was the Marily look and my association with her as kind of a Marily 2.0 for the millenium that shocked me when I saw these photos of her on the Daily Mail website today. Looking beautiful as ever (possibly with a new breast augmentation) and most notably sporting brunette hair.

I wasn't so sure how I felt about it. No doubt she's still looking as amazing as ever and rocking 35 well but I wasn't sure if it was the most flattering shade on her. After doing some more internet perving though it appears as though she's been brunette for awhile. And, I have to say I like it. It's a bit more of a mature look and is certainly very flattering. Although I feel slightly as though there is sommething now distinctly Russian or Eastern European without her, perhaps that's the influence of Domi (her boyfriend). Regardless, she remains stunning and my workout inspiration! I do have to say though in the picture immediately below she seems to have softened up her look, and I have to say I'm a bit of a fan of the highly defined botox appearance. It's not a bad look.
